Create Your Own Eden At Your Place – Local Composting And Worm Farming Demonstrations Now Available.
Franklin District Council is promoting a variety of composting systems this month, with free composting and worm farming demonstrations at two local venues.

Lights out for Franklin
Plan a special candlelight dinner party for the last Saturday in March and show your support for planet Earth.
From 8.30-9.30pm on Saturday 27 March, lights will be switched off around the world as people participate in Earth Hour – a global initiative by the World Wide Fund for Nature.

First Council Meeting Gets 2010 off to a Flying Start
At the first full council meeting of the year, Franklin District’s Mayor and Councillors made a number of decisions that are important to the community now, and in the future.
